Business Model Canvas ("BMC") is a business tool that helps you to understand a business model in a macro-view. 

You will be able to see the insights on the customers segment you are serving, what value propositions are offered through which channels, and how your company will make money. You can also use the business model canvas to understand your own business model or that of a competitor!

The Business Model Canvas was created by Alexander Osterwalder, who is from Strategyzer, and it's widely used by startups to verify their business model before they kickstart their business.

Nevertheless, the BMC is not just for startups, it’s also very useful to existing businesses that are looking to pivot or improve their business offering. In this case, the BMC allows you to verify your ideas by going through all the 9 building blocks so that you will consider all aspects before rolling it out.
